MAS currently does not export ANY FAMAS rifles. The fact that France does not export the FAMAS for sale to foreign nations let alone for civilian sale anywhere on the planet at this time?Ībout 20+ years ago they exported 100 FAMAS rifles to the USA and a small handfull of rifles to places like the UAE.

It could be done.but it would take hundreds of thousands of dollars. Oh, and the whole ATF import branch thing. The only real problem is the marketplace hurdle of securing rifles overseas, bringing them over, breaking them down for parts, designing and building new domestic parts, putting them all together, and then marketing/selling them. Logically that statement is demonstrably false, seeing as how there ARE a finite number of FAMAS rifles in this country which were imported from France. The French don't export the FAMAS, which is why the only folks who use it are the French.
